ABERDEEN NEWS - Four more lives were lost on Tuesday afternoon on the notorious section of the R61 between Aberdeen and Beaufort West.
The accident happened just after 14:00, about 50km from Aberdeen.
Only one vehicle was involved, a white Mitsubishi ASX, with four passengers, which was travelling from Cape Town to Queenstown.
According to the driver, her child told her to watch out for an animal in the road, so she swerved, and lost control. The car then overturned.
The child, thought to be about five or six years old, two females and a male died at the scene, the driver was the only one to survive.
It is thought that they may be all members of the same family.
The white Mitsubishi ASX had four passengers who were killed in the accident.
A case of culpable homicide is being investigated against the driver.
