FOOTBALL NEWS - Camdeboo Academy walked off with the trophy after winning the penalty shootout against Birds United Football Club in the Samara Tournament final on 16 June at Kroonvale Soccer field.
Camdeboo Academy held the floating trophy high after beating the Birds 4 - 2.

The u. 13 Jose Mourinho FC scooped first prize, Shooting Stars came second and Destroyers third. Academy took first prize in the u.15 group after beating Birds United 5 - 4 in penalties.
Samara Karoo Reserves in partnership with Dr Beyers Naudé Municipal Local Football Association (LFA) hosted the tournament and youngsters came from Aberdeen and Jansenville to participate.
Anneley Swemmer, Samara's Community Relations Manager, said 720 teenagers participated in the football and netball matches played during this year's tournament.
Hans Plaatjies from the LFA said football is one of the major sports in the country and netball is a fast-growing sport that plays a significant role in our communities.
Winning teams won prizes, medals and trophies.
