GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — On Friday and Saturday, 27 and 28 July, Made It in Somerset Street, Graaff-Reinet, held their very first Crochet Retreat.
The weekend offered yarn lovers the opportunity to relax and of course crochet.
"The weekend was a resounding success," exclaimed Made It's Liezl Smith.
"Thanks to our sponsors, Kismet, Umbala Handpainted Yarn, Btrix Designs, Adele's Mohair, Sleeping Cat Designs, Baah Yarns, EsTeresa Yarn Creations and Cowgirl Blues, who all generously contributed to the weekend, all those who attended were treated to a feast of yarn in a multitude of colours and textures."
The weekend allowed crochet enthusiasts the opportunity to spend time amid other crochet lovers, surrounded by yarn, creating unique items.
The weekend was very relaxed with lots of time to crochet and lively banter, with all involved expanding their crocheting skills and yarn knowledge.
Each participant received an amazing goodie bag stuffed with different yarn samples and a few other surprises.
Made It extends their heartfelt thanks to all those who attended and will be conducting more courses, workshops and retreats in the near future on a wide variety of techniques for all different skill levels.
