ABERDEEN — The committee of the Aberdeen Publicity and Tourism Office organised a social gathering on Tuesday morning.
The main aim of the morning was welcome some of the newer arrivals to Aberdeen, and to introduce them to the work of the Publicity Office.
It was also a good chance for some of the folk who have been involved with the organisation for many years to get together and catch up.
Host David Millar cooked a seemingly endless stack of pancakes, and all the guests also enjoyed freshly-brewed coffee and assorted snacks. Chairlady Jean Watermeyer gave a short welcome to everybody present, thanking them for their interest in promoting the town through the organisation. New volunteers are always welcome, both to work in the office and to assist in the general promotion of the town.
Mention was also made of an exciting Garden Party and fete that is planned for November, which will be something for the townsfolk to look forward to!
