GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — On Thursday last week, the honourable Mayor, Deon de Vos and Councillor Linda Botha paid a visit to the ACVV Protective Workplace in Graaff-Reinet.

A very excited Sarie Whitlock was thrilled that the Mayor had taken time out of his hectic schedule to pay them a visit.

She introduced the Mayor and Councillor to all the busy workers and took them on a tour of the various workshops where the incredible activities of these challenged people were witnessed.

It was also very encouraging to see the nursery at the back of the Workplace where those with green fingers had a put up wonderful display of trees and other plants for sale.

The visit ended at the Protective Workplace’s shop where the Mayor chose some Christmas gift purchases from the beautifully handmade items at very reasonable prices. On leaving the workers formed an arch of farewell at the gate as two guests drove out.
