GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - This past Saturday morning, 16 February, 142 locals and visitors participated in the weekly Mountain Drive parkrun.
Of these 142 participants, 40 were first times and 33 recorded new personal bests.
Sipho November, who already held the record for this event, set up a new record. The new Mountain Drive parkrun record for the men now stands at 17:48.
This Saturday, 23 February, sees the 4th Mountain Drive parkrun being held.
- The event takes place every Saturday morning, starting at 08:00. Anyone wishing to participate can gather at the starting line, which is at the entrance to Mountain Drive opposite the Urquart Caravan Park, just before 08:00.
It's not a requirement, but participants are encouraged to register for parkrun at www.parkrun.co.za before their first run - you only ever register with parkrun once. Take along a printed copy of your barcode to parkrun and have your time recorded.
