GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — Shortly after 04:00 last Thursday, a fatal accident occurred on the N9 between Graaff-Reinet and Aberdeen.
The driver of a grey Toyota Avanza lost control of the vehicle about 17km out of Aberdeen, and the vehicle subsequently left the road and overturned.
One passenger, a 20-year-old man, died at the scene of the accident, and two other passengers, one man and one woman, were seriously injured.
The seven people in the vehicle were all members of one family, on their way from Cape Town to the former Transkei for a funeral.
A case of culpable homicide has been opened by the Aberdeen police and is under investigation
