KAROO NEWS - Compared to statistics for the month of July 2021, there has been a notable decrease in the number of new Covid-19 cases in the Dr Beyers Naude Local Municipality for the period of 01 to 10 August.
This may indicate that we are moving towards the beginning of the end of the third wave in this municipal area.
The fluctuation in numbers, however, is evident of the fact that the Covid-19 threat is still very real and far from over.
Sadly, there has been a further increase in the number of Covid-19 related deaths recorded in the Dr Beyers Naude municipal area. This number has increased from 207 (01 August) to 220 (10 August).
The breakdown of cases for the period of 01 to 10 August is as follows:
