BUSINESS NEWS - College Motors will be closing temporarily on Thursday 8 August. Construction and renovations will start and continue to take place in order to provide their loyal clients with an exciting, improved shopping experience.
College Motors was purchased by Pierre Le Grange in 1999. Stephan de Souza, the current Managing Director of College Motors, worked for Le Grange for six years before relocating to Cape Town where he was the General Manager of another Caltex service station for six years, before returning to Graaff-Reinet in 2017.
Back in Graaff-Reinet, he managed College Motors following Le Grange’s retirement and in March last year, De Souza purchased College Motors.
De Souza and Eyona Energy (Branded Marketer) have invested a great deal in order to upgrade and improve the site and will be bringing the latest Freshstop offering in a brand-new building to the community.
At the same time, the brand will also be changed from Caltex to Astron which will deliver the same quality products as before. "This is only some of the developments we have planned and there are more expansion surprises lined up for 2025," says De Souza.
College Motors will be closed until the construction project is completed with the proposed reopening set for November.
"College Motors looks forward to welcoming back its loyal customers to its bigger and better site later this year," De Souza concluded.
