PROPERTY NEWS - As we near the end of 2021, I would like to thank each and every client for their support during this year. Thank you for choosing Chas Everitt Southern Cape as your partner and service provider in real estate.

We have experienced record sales numbers in the past 12 months, as have many other real estate companies, due to a massive increase in demand for property.

Factors that contributed to this demand were of course low interest rates, semigration to the Western Cape from other provinces, post-Covid social decisions and political stability / instability.

But in the case of Chas Everitt Southern Cape, there was definitely also something else in the mix that enabled us to dramatically increase both market share and revenue.

This is what happened:

• We spent an entire 21% of our net company income on marketing and advertising this year.

• The number of exclusive mandates we were awarded increased and in total we were able to write close to 400 deals at a consistent average commission of 5,1%.

• Our stock levels dropped by 31% but our agents still sold 36% more properties than in the previous year.

• And although Chas Everitt Southern Cape increased its agent numbers by just 5% in 2021, we increased sales value by a whopping 44,6%.

So how did we do it? Quite simply by focusing again and again on quality and not quantity, in line with our vision statement of striving to be the leading real estate company of choice.

In order to deliver on this vision, we of course need special people to share it, and these are our admin staff and our sales and rental agents.

I also want to honour them all here for each being special in their own wonderful way and I thank them sincerely for playing a vital role in our success this year. I would also like to thank all our Attorney Partners along with their public relations officers. Without them, it's impossible to have a successful real estate company.
