GRAAFF-REINET BUSINESS NEWS — Brian Bands Sports is celebrating 30 years of trading in Graaff -Reinet.
The company opened its doors in February 1986 in a section of the premises now occupied by Merino Pharmacy in Church Street.
The outlet was managed by the late Sue Lees, assisted by Styles Adams who still resides in Graaff-Reinet.
The shareholders were the MD of Brian Bands Sports in Port Elizabeth, the late Bruce Baker, the late Ed Crankshaw and Daan Dercksen.
After trading in Church Street for a year the shop located to Caledon Street, its present premises.
The business was then purchased from Bruce Baker by John Savage in 1995 and has continued trading as Brian Bands Sports since this then.
“We pride ourselves in providing an excellent selection of all sporting goods as well as a large selection of sports shoes.” says Savage.
“Our motto is: ‘good price and good advice’, and if we do not have what you require, we source it and have it for you within 48 hours,” he said.
Savage wishes to make use of this opportunity to express his thanks to the very special people of Graaff-Reinet and surrounding towns for their wonderful support over the past 30 years and hope that they may count on the continued support for many years to come.
