NIEU-BETHESDA NEWS – The Ibis Lounge celebrated their beautiful new stone walled courtyard by hosting singer/songwriter Tanja Storm and her musician husband Charlie Winter last week.
As the inky night sky settled over Bethesda, and the familiar chats feasted on insects around the glowing fairy lights, Tanja's powerful voice surprised those who expected less from her diminutive form.
After a delicious meal of lamb ribs and home-made chicken pie, and a few drinks around the new bar, the audience of locals and visitors settled down to a musical treat. Tanja sang many old favourites including 'The house of the rising sun', 'Tears in Heaven', 'Summertime' and 'Days of my life' as well as a few of her original songs including 'Poskaart'.
Her mesmerising voice and incredible prowess on the piano kept the audience entertained well into the evening.
The Ibis Lounge proved to be the perfect venue for this treat of a show which Bethesda's were fortunate to be a part of.
