GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Imibala Gallery at the Drostdy Hotel is extending an invitation to all art lovers to the opening of their new exhibition, Colours.
This rich, warm, light-hearted but above all fun exhibition will be opened on Friday evening, August 18, at 18:00 at the gallery in Church Street, Graaff-Reinet.
The Imibala Gallery derives its name from the Xhosa word for colours, so the gallery dedicates a show each year to a celebration of colour.
This year the exhibition will feature a selection of artists with varying approaches who work in a range of media including painting, sculpture, print-making and ceramics.
Among the featured artists are Albert Redelinghuys, Alastair Barnes, Barbara Wildenboer, Bets Henning, Curt Martheze, Diane McLean, Duncan Stewart, Estelle Marais, Janet Dixon, Janet Kingwill, Joanne Reen, Jonathan Silverman, Kitty Viljoen, Mike Holmes, Paula van Coller-Louw, Peter Midlane and Thijs Nel.
