NATIONAL NEWS - Amor Vittone has once again opened up about being embroiled in an ugly battle over Joost van der Westhuizen’s will and estate to ensure that her children get what is theirs.
In an interview with Jacaranda FM Amor said she would not stop fighting because it involved her children’s welfare.
“My kids are amazing. They don’t read anything on Google and I am very honest with them.
“Even when I am going to see the lawyers, I tell them ‘mommy is going to fight for what is yours. They tell me ‘mommy, daddy always said that we would be taken care of. Do we have to lose the house?,” she said.
Amor said that contrary to belief she did not want Joost’s money for herself.
“I am not fighting for his money for my benefit, people read headlines and not the story. All I wanted was for the kids to be taken care of, from school and their beloved hobbies,” she said.
She explained that she couldn’t even rent or sell their house because it was in Joost’s name.
“I don’t mind paying, selling or renting my home and going to a smaller place [for my children] but I can’t even do that because the house is in Joost’s name,” she said.
In May this year Joost’s brother produced a second will that was not signed by him and if deemed valid would see Amor get only a “TV or two”.
