GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — The first ever Karoo Wedding, Home & Baby Expo will be hosted at Laer Volkskool, Graaff-Reinet on the 8th and 9th of April this year, the weekend before Easter.
The organisers are hoping to have up to 150 stalls, and so far the response has been very encouraging with a wide variety of stalls already booked. Their goal for the first Karoo Expo is to attract over 2 000 visitors to Graaff-Reinet.
The Expo will provide visitors with live entertainment, workshops and activations throughout the day. Local residents can purchase tickets for the expo ahead of time at Polka Café in Graaff-Reinet and Leana Bloemiste in Middelburg - these will be at a discounted price of R80, as opposed to R100 at the gate. Tickets can also be purchased online at the discounted price - details are available on the website www.karooexpo.co.za. The first 500 tickets purchased online will include a free goody bag!
Karoo Expo’s goal is to offer local residents the chance to meet all their providers in one place and to enjoy the weekend with friends and family in the midst of live music and festivities. It also gives local businesses the chance to present their products and services to a bigger audience. “Our vision is to create awareness of the Great Karoo attracting visitors from across the country” enthused organizer Charlotte Gouws. “We invite local providers to exhibit at the Expo to take advantage of showcasing their business to a bigger audience” she continued.
