NIEU-BETHESDA NEWS — Cathy Milner is a qualified artist who lives and works on a farm between Stellenbosch and Paarl.
Here she has a studio called the Stables Art Studio where she teaches adults and children art in a calm and relaxed environment.
Milner studied for her Fine Arts Degree at UCT and taught at the Paarl Art Center for seven years.
She is married to a winemaker and has two boys.
Milner will be will be facilitating an Art week in the beautiful and tranquil village of Nieu-Bethesda.
Here she will guide them as they “explore artistic and creative sides of ourselves that are awakened in this enchanting place”.
Participants will stay in various self-catering cottages in the town and will meet together for a morning and afternoon session. Lessons will start on May 28 and end on the June 3. There will be a day’s break in the middle of the week to enjoy the surroundings at your own leisure.
Milner will teach various drawing and painting techniques focusing on exploring alternative mark making and new ways of looking at one’s surroundings.
Beginner artists and more advanced students will all benefit from this week long experience where they can immerse themselves into their art and enjoy the quiet peace of Nieu-Bethesda.
