GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Last week Saturday's Mountain Drive parkrun in Graaff-Reinet saw 53 participants. Eleven walkers, runners or joggers managed to record person bests.
Youngster Likhona Dlomo, who participated in the category for 11 to 14-year-olds, came fourth overall and first of the women with a time of 32:25. Fellow junior Jamie Lee Gerber, who is in the same category as Dlomo, came second of the women with 34:47. Magda Claassen was third (35:03).
Richard Rubidge was first of the men to cross the finish line, with a time of 23:57. Roland Palme was second with 26:08 and Andre van Rooyen third with 29:15.
The event was made possible by volunteers Peter Burdette, Mike Calitz, Shirley Spencer, Charles Maasdorp, Kim Spencer Primic, Lusan Luscombe, Jenna Beldon and Annika Wienecke, as well as two rangers from SANParks.
