GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Last weekend, 19 and 20 May, a Drawn Pairs competition was played at the Graaff-Reinet Bowling Club.
Sixteen bowlers (8 teams) competed in two sections, playing three games of 15 ends.
The combination of Fanie van der Merwe and Peter van den Berg won the one section, while Marenda Lückhof and Shawn West were the winners of the other section.
The four bowlers started play in the final on Sunday, but rain intervened and the game could only be completed on Tuesday.
After 21 ends the score was deadlocked at 16 shots each. In an extra end played, Marenda and Shawn picked up one shot to claim the title.
