GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - At Union schools, few scenes are sweeter than that of the high schoolers interacting with the little preppies.
This past term saw Union High School’s first hockey team take to the field with some of Union Preparatory School’s Grade 2, 3 and 4 hockey players in a spur of the moment set of mini-hockey matches.
The senior girls went out of their way to make the little girls feel special and the little players just loved pitting their skills against that of the high school’s first-team players.
"We are constantly blown away by the incredible character of our learners. The caring and compassion shown by our senior girls during this unexpected afternoon of fun were just amazing to see," said Mariëtte Burger, spokesperson for Union High School.
