GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Last week Saturday’s first 7am Mountain Drive parkrun in Graaff-Reinet was a hit, with 63 participants.
The earlier starting time, due to the Karoo heat, saw 21 new personal bests. Five of these times included the first three men to cross the finish line, as well as the second and third woman.
Ryan Hobson was first with 24:22, followed by Dave Neill (24:25) and Kelvin Kayster (26:11).
Lorette Luscombe was the first woman to cross the finish line (30:46), followed by Caryn Cherrington (32:38) and Marché Holtzhausen (33:34).
The event was made possible by volunteers: Mike Calitz, Kim Spencer-Primic, Lusan Luscombe, Rozelle Köhne, Peter Burdett, Jacqueline Taylor-Freeme and Shirley Spencer.
