GRAAFF-REINET BOWLING CLUB - A sunny Saturday, 19 September, proved the perfect day for rounds of bowls at the greens of the Graaff-Reinet Bowling Club, where a variety of competitions where held throughout the day.
The events started at around 8:30 and included the Ladies' Club Senior Singles, Men's Club Senior Singles and Men's Club Novices. No ladies' divisions were played in the Club Novices section, as there were no entries.
Top bowler Elna de Klerk bowled her way into first place in the Ladies' Senior Singles division. Riana du Toit was the runner-up.
Wally Koetaan's bowling skills earned him first place in the Men's Club Senior Singles, and Ivor Wakeford came in second place. Thinus Ferreira was the winner of the Men's Club Novices, and Joggie Vorster was second.
The winners' shields were presented to them by Honorary Treasurer Pricilla West, and Eddie Brett-Rite.
