GRAAFF-REINET GOLF NEWS - On Saturday, 27 October, Narsingstraat Primary School went all out to organise a very enjoyable sponsored IPS golf day.

There were sandwiches at half-way, a delicious evening meal and plenty of great prizes.

Unfortunately, they couldn't choose the weather and the soaring temperatures prevented some golfers from participating.

It would be interesting to know what the person who coined the phrase, "Only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun" would have said about the players on Saturday!

Clive Ludick won on a count-out with Godwin Bosch on 41 points and Dave Luscombe third on 37 points.

The Wednesday Gold Rush sponsored IPS competition was won by Dave Luscombe on 36 points, while Jaco Venter came in second on a count-out to Weppie Weideman on 32 points.

Due to the heat, no Friday Sundowner was played.

This coming Saturday, 3 November the club hosts their monthly medal competition with tee-off at 12:00.
