FOOTBALL NEWS - In light of the coronavirus, all soccer matches in the Sarah Baartman Districts (SBD) have been suspended.
Bongani Jibiliza, secretary of the SBD, said all football activities are suspended with immediate effect, until further notice. This includes the Dr Beyers Naudé District's Local Football Association (DBNLFA) week six games, scheduled to start this coming weekend.
Thembela Glen Futshane, the match coordinator of the local football association, said the current log standings (updated on 15 March) will stay as is until play resumes.
Manchester United (stream A), Doritos (stream B) and Academy (stream C) are currently top of the DBNLFA's three logs.
The DBNLFA had a meeting in Aberdeen on Friday 20 March to discuss the way forward.
Futshane is hopeful that the SBD will be able to give feedback on Saturday 4 April about when, and if, the LFA will proceed for the season.
