SOCCER NEWS - SuperSport United captain Dean Furman says the 4-1 victory over Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup final on Saturday was their best performance this season.
Matsatsantsa ended their domestic campaign in style with a thrilling counter-attacking display to hand new Bafana Bafana manager Stuart Baxter the perfect send-off.
Furman himself produced a composed display in midfield and he feels the discipline of his team-mates in defence allowed the likes of Thuso Phala, Jeremy Brockie, Thabo Mnyamane and Bradley Grobler to roam with creative freedom.
"That was one of our biggest performances of the season and I think we saved the best for last," Furman said.
