CRICKET NEWS - Pacaltsdorp United has moved to the top of the log position in the SWD Premier League competition after the fourth round of matches that were concluded the past weekend.
In a low scoring contest at Pacaltsdorp the home team 119/7 recorded a three-wicket bonus point victory against Sussex (118 – all out) when they reached the winning target after 30 overs.
Mark Andrianatos (112*) was the batting hero for George (248/5) in their 104 runs victory against Mossel Bay (144 all out). Jarred Jardine (4/15) bagged four wickets for George.
The defending champions Knysna Cavaliers (85 all out) struggled against a match winning bowling display by Rhupino Plaatjies (5/16) and Herschell America (4/26) in a 22 runs defeat against Harlequins Forces (107 all out) at the Military Sport Club in Oudtshoorn.
The scheduled match for the weekend between Union Stars and Plett Pioneers will be re-scheduled.
