SOUTHERN CAPE NEWS - Following the revision of the Level 1 and 2 Cricket Coaching Courses offered by Cricket South Africa through its various affiliates, SWD Cricket is pleased to announce the dates for its various coach development activities and programmes for the rest of 2017 and into 2018.
The activities cater for coaches of all levels, from beginner to High Performance Pipeline coaches. All coaches are encouraged to get involved with their local forum and attend these sessions or courses. The planned dates can be found on the SWD website.
The SWD Coach Education Department encourages all educators who coach cricket at any level to attend a course and become certified, to stay up to date with the latest in coaching techniques, so that they can offer their players the best possible coaching as well as ensuring that coaches themselves and their employers are covered from a legal perspective.
Courses with application dates are listed below. Candidates are to read the course requirements and guidelines closely on the SWD website to ensure they meet the requirements to attend the desired course. The given dates and times below are the actual dates the courses take place and candidates must attend all mentioned for their chosen course.
George Level 1 Cricket Coaching Course:
Dates: 26 (08:30 - 16:30) August, 1 (15:00 - 18:30), 2 (08:30 - 16:30) September. Exams 12 September
Oudtshoorn Level 1 Cricket Course:
Dates: 3 (15:00 - 18:30), 7, 9 (08:30 - 16:30) November. Exams 13 November
George Level 2 Cricket Coaching Course
Dates: 21, 23, 28, 30 August, 4,6,11,12 September (17:30 - 21:00). Exams 18 September
Oudtshoorn Level 2 Cricket Coaching Course
Dates: 5, 6, 7 October (08:30 - 16:30). Exams 25 October
Level 2 Coaching Course Refresher
George: 1, 8, 15 November (17:30 - 21:00)
