Run kicks of Nieu-Bethesda fun

NIEU-BETHESDA NEWS - Nieu-Bethesda's Market Day on Saturday 31 October kicked off with a fun 10 km-run at 07:00.

A few locals and visitors gathered at Bruno's restaurant, where the run started. 

Ginger beer was on offer for the runners past the halfway mark at Tot Hier Toe Padstal, and delicious cinnamon rolls waited for the top-three finishers back at Bruno's.

Richard Koosie crossed the finish line first of the men, with Richard Rubidge second and Alexis Pienaar third. Claire Lemke was first of the women, with Isa Schoombe second and Alice Tawse third.

Winners in the men's section are Alexis Pienaar (3rd), Richard Koosie (1st) and Richard Rubidge (2nd).
