East London visitor Annamarie Acton was first of the women with 28:38. She has participated in 313 parkruns, but this was her first in Graaff-Reinet.
A local junior soccer team, who is still to be registered, participated for the first time.
"They ran barefoot," an organiser of the event said. "[It was such a special sight] to see such hard-core, energetic and committed youngsters."
The event was made possible by volunteers Peter Burdett, Mike Calitz, Charles Maasdorp, Jacqui Taylor-Freeme, Johan du Plessis, Danie Jackson, Tammy du Plessis and Kim Spencer Primic. Two rangers from South Africa National Parks also manned a water station.
