NATIONAL NEWS - The family of late SABC journalist Suna Venter has called for an end to the intimidation of journalists.
Venter’s body was found at her Johannesburg apartment last Thursday. A memorial service was held on Thursday night.
Speaking at her memorial at SABC’s headquarters in Auckland Park, the South African National Editors Forum's Mahlatse Gallens say venter's death should unite journalists.
“We know the journey will be long, hard and demands all of us to be Suna Venter. We have to find strength in her courage.”
Venter passed away after being diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, a cardiac condition believed to be caused by trauma and prolonged periods of unnatural stress.
Venter's father, Dr Phillip Venter, says his daughter had always been a caring person.
