NATIONAL NEWS - South African Communist Party (SACP) chairperson Senzeni Zokwana has used his welcoming address at the party’s national conference to lash out at the Gupta family, saying they must leave the African National Congress (ANC) alone.
He has also accused the family of trying to capture the National Union of Mine Workers (NUM).
The SACP is holding its 14th national congress in Boksburg.
Zokwana says that the Gupta family must stop interfering in the affairs of the ANC.
“They must stop getting the ANC into mud and leave the ANC alone.”
Zokwana, who is described by some as being sympathetic to President Jacob Zuma, was careful when he addressed the SACP's call for Zuma to step down.
