MOTORING NEWS - Goodyear announced that the new Ultra-High Performance tyre Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 has been accredited with original equipment fitments on the new Porsche Panamera. The tyre was developed to meet the needs of powerful sedan and sports car drivers and was approved with a mixed fitment: size 265/45ZR19 (105Y) XL on the front axle and 295/40ZR19 (108Y) XL on the rear.
The Panamera is regarded as a sports car without compromise for everyday use with four seats, an unmistakable silhouette and performance figures associated with the Porsche name.
To answer Porsche's requirements, Goodyear developed the tyre by focusing on ultimate handling performance with an eye on low rolling resistance. The tyres will be marked 'N0', to indicate these are approved by Porsche as original equipment on its vehicles.
A key feature of Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 is the new grip booster compound, which ensures increased grip during braking and handling on both dry and wet roads. The new reinforced construction technology allows for steering precision and durability by delivering a stronger, lightweight construction also improving handling, cornering performance, tread wear and fuel efficiency.
