Modelling for a cause in Aberdeen: 9 August
Enjoy a modelling competition with a difference in Aberdeen on Women's Day.
The event will be held in the Aberdeen library hall, starting at 3pm. The entry fee for spectators is R10 for adults and R5 for children. Entries for contestants have now closed.
The competition is divided into five age groups: Little Miss Aberdeen for the 4 to 12 year olds; Miss Teen Aberdeen for 13 to 17 year olds; and three more age categories for the adults.
An extra title up for grabs will be Miss Gay Aberdeen.
Aberdeen Ward 7 meeting: 12 August
Residents can attend this meeting at the library at 5pm. Items on the agenda will include electing ward committee members for the portfolios of religion, health, and combined women, youth and disabled. Secondly, a business in town's application for a liquor licence needs to be considered. The IDP review will also be discussed.
Residents are urged to attend.
