GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Graaff-Reinet SAPS Spokesperson, Captain Bradley Rawlinson, warned residents that several cases of petrol and diesel theft were reported to the SAPS recently.
He requested the community and business owners to be vigilant and use more precautionary measures to prevent this kind of theft.
According to Rawlinson, criminals are stealing petrol and diesel by forcing open petrol caps or even damaging petrol tanks. They also target businesses, by stealing filled drums.
In other cases, trucks that parked at overnight stops and resting places were also on thieves lists of easy targets.
