JANSENVILLE NEWS - Jansenville SAPS, together with other stakeholders, took to the streets of Bricksfield on 15 October, as part of their gender-based violence crime prevention campaign.
According to Capt Bradley Rawlinson, spokesperson for the policing district, those involved included Acting Station Commander, W/O Marius Venter, Sgt Denver Wood, the Department of Health, Council of Churches, Jansenville Municipality and Jansenville Victim Support.
"The prevention of gender-based violence requires a collective approach," said Rawlinson. "We can all use our energy in preventing these crimes against our woman and children."
The campaign also educated people of Jansenville about personal protective Equipment (PPE), domestic violence and human trafficking.
Venter thanked the role players for their contribution to empowering the people of Jansenville.
