GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Amid the constant power interruptions caused by load shedding, some residents of Asherville in Graaff-Reinet will now also face an entire day without electricity this Sunday, 24 March.
In a statement issued by the Dr Beyers Naudé Municipality on Tuesday morning, 19 March, the municipality stated that residents of Pansy Street, Affodil Street, Zinnea Street, a part of Narsing Street and the new residential area behind the Graaff-Reinet Day Hospital, will be without electricity from 07:00 to 17:00 on Sunday.
“In the result of inclement weather, the interruption will be postponed to 31 March,” the statement reads.
It further states that, “No guarantee can be given that the current will remain off for the whole of the time specified, therefore consumers are warned that their installations must be considered live at all times.”
