GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — Last week residents of Graaff-Reinet and surrounds saw gale force winds, some pretty heavy rain in places and even snowfall - not that that’ll have an impact just yet -, but alas, it didn’t bring change where everyone hoped it would.
Speaking to the Graaff-Reinet Advertiser this week, Leolynn Smith, the municipality’s communications officer, said the recent rain didn’t have the effect some were hoping for as the level of the Nqweba Dam on the outskirts of Graaff-Reinet hasn’t risen and now stands at a very low 12.2%.
The Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality once again urges consumers to save water by using it as sparingly as possible.
