GRAAFF-REINET NEWS AND VIDEO- The Municipality after reporting that the service provider will be on-site on 4 January, is happy to say that the Municipal team together with two service providers worked tirelessly until late last night to ensure the Tronkdrift pump station is operational and pumping.
The following factors contributed to the problem:
- After the heavy rains, sand and bricks ended up in the sewer network which caused blockages.
- The burst of the rising main from Tronkdrift to the Waste Water Treatment Works.
Some minor problems still need to be attended to, like gate valves, switch valves and compaction of the broken line to ensure all pumps operate automatically. The Municipal Team will ensure the cleaning of spillages. Thank you for the community's patience and apologies for any inconvenience caused.
