GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Graaff-Reinet local Wendy Brussow recently spent three weeks in Knysna and Plettenberg Bay as a volunteer counsellor after fires ravaged the area.
Although many had seen footage of the fires in the media, nothing can quite compare to experiencing it first-hand.
Brussow plans on sharing her experiences with Graaff-Reinet residents through a presentation entitled, ‘Knysna-Plett Fires – Horror and Hope’.
The presentation will be held in the Dudley Hall of the Trinity Methodist Church in Caledon Street on Thursday, July 27 at 18:00.
The presentation should last approximately one hour and is free of charge, however, any donations received will be donated towards a feeding scheme in Knysna.
Tea, coffee, soup and pancakes will be on sale at the presentation - 50% of the proceeds will also be donated towards the feeding scheme.
Those wishing to attend can send a SMS or WhatsApp to 072 622 6600 to RSVP for catering purposes.
