JANSENVILLE NEWS - Two Jansenville brothers, Trevill (32) and Pieter Gouws (31), will make their second appearance as suspects in two different burglary cases on Wednesday 6 November.
They were arrested on Tuesday 22 October and appeared in court on Wednesday 23 October. Both the suspects are in custody.
Trevill was allegedly involved in a recent burglary at a local butchery. Police recovered meat and biltong at his residence.
With further investigation, Pieter was arrested after the police recovered a wheel pump, worth R1 500, which had been stolen from the Brakrivier farm in July.
The Jansenville Police Station Commander, Captain Pieter Erasmus, congratulated Warrant Officer Pieter van Veijeren , Detective Sergeant André Brophy, Sergeant Denver Wood, Constables Nadia Hendricks, Elrico Arnolds and Eric Ndoni.
Graaff-Reinet Cluster Commander Brigadier Rudolph Adolph commended these members and thanked them for their breakthrough into the spate of burglaries in Jansenville.
