GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — The Maya Deaf Foundation (MDF), based in Graaff-Reinet, aims to help bridge the gap between the hearing and the deaf by providing a range of services to those affected by hearing loss.
The MDF was registered in February last year and officially launched in September.
They will be holding their first community project in March to celebrate National Sign Language Day.
In conjunction with ASLADECO training institution, they will provide a free workshop on the South African Sign Language. Anybody who is interested in learning the language is welcome to attend.
The workshop will be held on Saturday, March from 10, from 10:00 to 15:00 at the Kroonvale Library Hall. There is no cost involved.
