EASTERN CAPE NEWS - With an average matric pass rate of 84,98%, the Eastern Cape Class of 2024 boasts the highest pass rate since 1994. The pass rate has been rising steadily for the past four years and 45 662 matriculants also achieved bachelor passes.
Marlow Agricultural High School in the Inxuba Yethemba Local Municipality, formerly Cradock, achieved a remarkable 100% pass rate.
The 11 high schools in the Dr Beyers Naude Local Municipality achieved an average pass rate of 83.5% with one school getting a 100% pass rate, three schools scoring well above 90%, another three schools scoring above 80%, one school over 77%, two schools averaging in the upper 60s and one school getting 50%.
