CRADOCK NEWS - Under the supervision of Cradock SAPS Station Commander, Colonel Ruth Slater, the Cradock police destroyed 736, 2kg of dagga, to the street value of R73 620, on Wednesday 26 February.
The dagga was burned near Kareedouw.
According to police spokesperson, Capt Lariane Jonker, the dagga was seized during the period January 2018 and December 2019.
Jonker said the police seized the dagga during several police operations in police districts of Cradock, Adelaide, Bedford, Cookhouse, Middelburg and Hofmeyer.
Jonker explained that the dagga was stored at the Cradock police store. "It could not be destroyed before the outcome of the court hearings," Jonker explained.
Jonker said that the police will continue their fight against drug trafficking and the use of it.
