GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Saturday's Mountain Drive parkrun in Graaff-Reinet saw 63 participants, despite cold and rainy weather.
Brendley Memanie was first with a time of 18:56. He nearly smashed his record, which stays at 18:50.
Matthew Carelse was second with 21:48, and Frederick Terblanche third with 23:56.
Ixienne van Jaarsveld was the first woman to cross the finish line with 31:41. Leticia Jenneke was second with 32:51 and Mari de Vos third with 35:13.
Thirteen participants managed to break their records. They are Dave Neill, Stefan Krynauw, Leticia Janeke, Chloé Stannard, Mare Lindie Stols, Sasha Cochrane, Suné van der Mescht, Hillary Carelse, Linda Bosch, Amanda Bredell, Stephan Grewar, Amber-Hope Scheepers and Rosemary Scheepers.
The volunteers who made the event possible are Peter Burdett, Mike Calitz, Charles Maasdorp, Jacqui Taylor-Freeme, Johan du Plessis, Rozelle Kohn, Lusan Luscombe, Kim Spencer Primic, and three rangers from SANParks.
