GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Artist Sivenathi Fuba (28) knows how to think out of the box.
"I love my life and can see possibilities in every problem, which is a huge blessing. When people ask me what I do for a living, I can see them wondering how I survive," says Fuba.
He advertises himself on social media as Hofmeyr's own cover page designer and sneaker washer. He recently added another job to his list, that of book enhancer!
"I have always dreamt of having my own business so that I can use my creativity to create art and to create my own job by teaching people many ways of avoiding poverty."
Fuba has been very busy since 15 January, because he had the vision to advertise his beautifully covered school books. Within hours he was flooded with loads of requests from parents to cover their children's books, and at the small fee of only R5 per cover, parents grabbed the opportunity.
"As an artist, I also love to do special designs on books, projects, files and cover pages. My next mission is to design and print my own paper to cover books with," he says sitting on the floor in the heat of summer, surrounded by a small mountain of books.
