GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — At about 13:00 on Monday, an accident occurred 11km from Graaff-Reinet, on the R75 towards Jansenville.
The driver of a Toyota Tazz, returning to Graaff-Reinet from Port Elizabeth, allegedly lost control of the vehicle, which left the road and overturned.
The driver and one female passenger were injured in the accident, and the driver later passed away in hospital. The police have not yet released the name of the driver, as his next of kin have not been informed. The other adult passenger and a 2-year-old girl, were not injured.
A case of culpable homicide has been opened.
