GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Three more residents of Graaff-Reinet have died from Covid-19- related causes.
Figures published by the Sarah Baartman District (SBD) health department on 15 July show that there have now been 12 deaths in Graaff-Reinet, and an additional 25 people have tested positive in the last three days, taking the total to 189 in the town. Of these, 100 have recovered.
Within the Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality (DBNLM), an additional 35 positive cases have been reported in the last three days.
As well as the 25 in Graaff-Reinet, Jansenville has recorded another seven cases, and Aberdeen, Klipplaat and Willowmore each have one more case.
The Sarah Baartman District Municipality has now recorded 3 042 cases, an increase of almost 300, and another 15 people have lost their lives in the last three days. Furthermore, 266 health staff in the SBDM that have tested positive for Covid-19 since the outbreak began, 40 are in the DBNLM.
