LIFESTYLE NEWS - Green Coffee Extract is a fat-loss supplement derived from, you guessed it, green coffee beans. It is similar in chemical composition to roasted coffee beans but has a higher concentration of chlorogenic acid – the active ingredient for fat loss.
Researchers are as yet unsure of the actual mechanism causing weight loss when supplementing with green coffee extract, though some suggest that it has to do with inhibiting carbohydrate uptake in the digestive system after a meal.
Vague benefits
The benefits of using green coffee extract (in terms of fat loss) are moderate to weak compared to other fat-loss supplements, according to current research. It is possibly a good general health supplement but not particularly potent for fat loss.
One nice thing about green coffee extract is that unless you are allergic to green coffee beans, side-effects seem almost non-existent.
