Umasizakhe beauties shine at school pageant

GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The toddlers and pre-schoolers at the Khanyisa Day Care Centre in Umasizakhe were once again granted the opportunity to showcase their talents during the school’s Mr and Miss Khanyisa beauty pageant.

This annual event, held at the Umaszikahe Community Hall, was very well supported by the community.

According to the school's teachers and organisers of the pageant, the annual pageant was once again a great success.

Ikho Futshane (4), was crowned as Miss Khanyisa 2018, while Siphamandla Khosana (4) was crowned as Mr Khanyisa 2018.

"The teachers and parents pulled out all the stops to make it a success and an event for the learners to remember," said the school's principal, Bukelwa Booysen.

According to her, the event was a fundraising initiative whereby they wanted to fill up the school’s coffers.

Booysen thanked the community for supporting the school’s extracurricular activities.
