ABERDEEN NEWS — As top achiever in the senior phase at Luxolo Intermediate School in 2017, Khanya Nale received a trophy, R1 000 for educational needs for 2017, and R2 000 in an investment portfolio for higher education - all donated by Lyndsay Maseko, who grew up in Aberdeen and is now a senior lecturer at the University of Johannesburg.
Khanya was also the top senior learner in 2016, so now has an investment portfolio of R4 000!
Zoey Boesak (Grade 2) was the top achiever in the foundation phase, and Ana Moti (Grade 4) top achiever in the intermediate phase.
Sports awards were presented to Emihle May for netball, Lubabalo Mbaduli for soccer, Christolene Fani (girls’ athletics), and Breyton Boesak (boys’ athletics).
