ABERDEEN NEWS — The first instance of shoplifting has been reported from the new Usave in Aberdeen.
A 37-year-old man was arrested last Saturday, at about 21:20, after he took a door lock priced at R69.99 from the shelves and walked past the cashier without paying for it. He will appear in court on Thursday for legal aid.
Sometime during the night of October 26, a theft occurred at the Aberdeen Showgrounds. One window frame to the value of R1600 was stolen.
A vehicle was broken into on Church Street between October 25 and October and R100 cash stolen. The suspect broke a window clip and forced the window open.
These two cases are both still under investigation.
A Play Station and a gas burner to the value of R2650 were stolen from a house in North Street on 30th June this year.
A 20-year-old man was arrested in connection with this last Wednesday- the case has been postponed until 9th November for further investigation.
